Sitting this morning on my verada with a glimpse of the sea, trees, birds and a sense of stillness around me I reflected on my mindfulness/meditation journey. I have only been deliberately taking time to meditate for a short time, maybe 2 years and sometimes it is haphazard…only some times not everyday. To start with I was sooooo restless and felt like each minute lasted for ages. Today I realised that even the small amount of time I spend engaging in mindful practices has brought about a change in me. I have a space within myself where I can just “be”…..and it is a safe and welcoming place.
